We've given a warm welcome to our 25th member of staff, Steve Funnell.
Steve is well known in the local property world with more than 25 years of experience under his belt.
He has joined our chartered surveying department as we step up our recruitment drive to meet rising demand for our services - especially for surveys.
Ian Lee, one of our directors, said: "Steve is a highly experienced and well known property professional who we are sure will be a great asset to the firm.

Sailing legend Sir Ben Ainslie has thrown open the gates of his new America’s Cup headquarters in Old Portsmouth.
The multi-million pound base celebrated its first day of operations with a reception for local dignitaries and team officials.
It was also announced that the Jaguar Land Rover has thrown its weight behind the America’s Cup bid with a major sponsorship deal which will see the team renamed Land Rover BAR.
With just over a month until the first races of the America’s Cup heats at the end of July, excitement is beginning to grow in the city.

It’s been another busy week at McAndrew Martin as the country returns to normal after the election result.
With the uncertainty over, we expect to see the property sector continue to remain strong, especially as the Governor or the Bank of England recently indicated that interest rates may only start to creep up next June (2016).
We’ve become increasingly busy with sustained demand for our chartered surveys and property related services, especially for our inhouse structural engineer and architectural design services.

Who doesn’t like a (nice) surprise? Well there was a pleasant one yesterday when it was revealed the economy has grown at a faster pace then expected.
Revised figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) have shown that it grew by 2.8% rather than 2.6% last year.
It means that 2014 enjoyed the high rate of annual growth since 2006 when it surged ahead at 3%.
Increased production, services and household spending were among the reasons for the success as well as strong export figures.

The property market is looking in good shape, according to new figures out today from the Land Registry.
They show an annual increase of 6.7% nationwide, which takes the average property value in England and Wales to £179,492.
Prices in January of this year rose by 1.3% nationwide compared to December 2014. In the South East region the rise was 1.2%. The increase compared with January 2014 was 9.4%.
